UNRAVELLING STILL
In Unravelling Still, Kaufman continues her exploration of the human figure in motion. By capturing and deconstructing aspects of movement, she explores the ambiguous space within a gesture – the physical and psychological space where moments of change are in flux. With an interest in the way a sudden monumental event can change a certain trajectory, the works in this series halt action at the point where the outcome is uncertain and without conclusion.
